Black Bird

Dance, Music & Animation Performance

“Black Bird” is a multidisciplinary performance that incorporates dance, live music and animation on stage. The dialogue between musician Yehu Yaron and dancemaker Efrat Rubin traces a journey spanning various human, animalistic states, in the shape of surreal emotional-mental landscapes, which are shown as projections and which reverberate through the movement, text and performance, as part of the search for an authentic self (whether or not such a thing exists).

The work examines the individual’s ability to listen and to choose in an age when the paradigm of identity politics dominates public discourse.

The show will have its world premiere on September 20 and 21 at Tmuna Theater.
